Have been doing a gathering of friends to celebrate some summer birthdays for the last few years at the casino. Always enjoy doing dinner and playing the races and sometimes a few slots as well. Always a good time - especially if you happen to be a winner!!!
The server was excellent and returned numerous times as we enjoyed conversation and the races. Each ordered item was plated in an artistic way and was delicious.
great seating for race track viewing
Must say food was excellent. Service better then average. Wanted to watch races and was on top tier. Could see but wife short and she had some issues. Looked lite bottom tier people were just there to dine and not betting. Better to have ur betters where they can see. You need to serve bread with your meals as a norm. Overall very surprised on how nice it was.
Well when we arrived they put us at a both instead of a table where you could see the race track, because they said we didn't request a table in our reservation. Well, when you have live races during dinner maybe you should automatically seat people where they can see the races unless they request otherwise. I've been going here for years and they should know I am there for the races.
The Burnt ends appetizer was delicious. We loved the BBQ sauce and it was cooked perfectly. My husband ordered the Captain Dobbin's BBQ cheeseburger. It was cooked properly & the best burger we've had in Erie. I ordered the Truffle Burger. The flavor was good but the burger was overcooked and the mushrooms were cut too large for the sandwich which made it awkward to eat. I only ate half of the burger because I ordered it cooked medium and the temperature of it was very well-done and dried out.
Went for my birthday with a friend and the food was great and the service was wonderful. Had a nice time.
Very disappointed in the seating arrangement. I reserved a table by the window one week in advance and ended up no where near the window. I was told there were several large parties who took up the space by the window, but there were none to be seen. When making a reservation a week in advance I would expect my request to be honored.
Our waitress was not very well trained, but nice. The seats were great. We were right on the finish line. The view was great.
