On December 15, 2025, at approximately 3:50 PM, I spoke by phone with a manager named Amanda at the Exton office to follow up on several questions regarding my account. I also requested assistance with understanding and using the Citadel app. Unfortunately, the interaction was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. They illegally added thousands onto a car loan, refuse to speak to their own rep about their screw up, and now that the loan is paid off they still repo'd the freaking car without letting the police know!!!! 10's of thousands of dollars gone because some company doesn't feel they need to act professionally and in a legitimate manner NEVER NEVER NEVER USE THIS PLACE FOR A LOAN!!!! They will take your money and the car and ignore their own employees when confronted with their error.

I'm disgusted with this place. Started off fine, but quickly learned there was a savings account with $5 in it linked to my auto loan. If I'm late on my loan payment, it overdraws the savings account and remains overdrawn even after a payment is made. I never signed up for this and if I did, it was in the fine print. They also defaulted to paper statements on this "savings account", which is another $2/month. Again, never signed up for this. These type of practices are dishonest, deceitful, and border on fraud. Citadel Credit Union starting offering 1.5 percent cash back on all purchases. Sounds great, right? WRONG! They advertise a 1.5 percent cash back, but when you go into a branch to pay your on your statement, the bank personnel are unable to apply your cash back. Yes indeed. Sounds insane? It is. Their advertising does not disclaim that the 1.5 percent cash back is ONLY for online banking!!!!! So, you have to enter the Matrix in order to take advantage of this rate. WRONG! I paid off my car loan early with a minor over payment. Citadel did not return the over-payment instead them claimed it as a "Service Fee". They essentially STOLE my over-payment! The amount was small, but if they need to steal money from customers I wonder if the will remain solvent in the future.

Purchased a car, financed by Citadel. I paid the car off two years early by making double payments. Sent the last partial payment well before it was due. Today I got a bill for $0.01. WTF One f@##$$%%g penny. It cost more to process this wrongful charge than to fight it. My bill paying account will not allow payments of less than a$1.00. So I sent them a check for one dollar for a wrongful charge of one cent. They owe me $0.99.
