Not the best provider to see! He does not spend adequate time with the patient to understand his/her issues, and does not listen well either. He also does not return calls or messages. There are better providers out there!
Lies to patients about studies regarding cannabis. His boss peddles opioids, imagine them not wanting a legal and safer alternative.
Good luck if you get Shoshana, the PA with a voice of a cartoon character and makeup like a clown, I don't think she's every had any kind of pain in her life because she doesn't want pain managment patients on pain meds. This place will let you go without meds, without appointments, without caring.
I have seen various doctors at Smart Pain including Bednarek and I do not recommend them. I have yet to receive an exam and a plan of treatment in several months of visits. The doctor sees your for 5 minutes and he sends a prescription to the pharmacy. Looks like a pill mill that should be investigated. people need pain relief and all they get is taken advantage of. National disgrace.
I was referred here with a lower back injury. I do like Dr Jari but Im not completely happy with some things. I've been here over 7 months with no issues. Im taking tramadol for pain with little to no relief . Ive asked for a little stronger med and got denied. I had 2 nerve blocks done on my Lower back , 2 weeks later they burned the nerves in my back and did not numb it first. I was shocked It was so painful having a needle pushed into my spine I never did the other side yet has been months
He was rushed and did not listen to me. I told him all the over the counter medication I was taking and it did not work. I was given a low dose of muscle relaxer and a low dose narcotic. Neither worked with all the OTC medications. The next appointment he gave me a trigger point shot, I had told him that this did not work in the past. The shot made my pain a 10/10. There were crickets when I told him how much pain I was in.
This Doctor is the worst. He feels anyone in pain, needing pain medication or just addicts seeking the medication. Even if he is unsure about a condition he just automatically assumes you are lying wanting medication. He does not care how much pain you are in it's all about looking good and telling you that you're not really feeling the pain you are. I have never had a doctor make me feel so much less of a person for having to take pain medication in my life.
He has poor bedside manor. He focuses more on a persons physical feature instead of doing a thorough examination of the problem. He wasted 3 hours of my initial appt. discussing my weight when that wasn't the issue. When time came for my injection appointment, I got a call from the office having to schedule another appt. due to his paperwork being wrong. I refused & demanded him to correct his issues, he did & my appt. stood. He needs to focus on his job, not rush. The rest of the staff is great
Chronic hip pain with severe exacerbations. Dr. Thompson would only order NSAID which had been proven not to work, would not schedule cortisone injection "I don't want to take away business from another dr since it was already scheduled." Prescribed PT which had been proven not to work. Would not allow any additional pain medications and would not order additional treatment. Still in moderate pain daily and severe pain at night. Medical professional treated like criminal. Never again.
