I can only guess this entity has hands in big pharma. Absolutely zero therapy takes place. None. Residents are 'turned out' in a yard 2-3 times daily to walk in circles and then typically taken to the 'activity room' where staff sit on their phones and residents are given coloring pages; something that resembles the lowest level of daycare imaginable. Numerous 'groups' are posted that would lead you to believe therapy was taking place but it's a farce. There are a few staff members that seem to be there for the right reasons... read more

January 16th, 2026 a patient was admitted to this facility under the care of Dr. Connolly. After speaking with the psychiatrist, the facility and the patient I was told that the visiting hours were between 6:00PM - 7:00PM. After arriving I was told that an identification number was required to speak with the patient under Dr. Connollys' care. Coachella Valley Behavioral Health should be shut down. They are rude, incompetent, and liars! From the front desk to the psychiatrist. They need to be retrained if they were at all. The patient came out worse than when they went in. 5150'd then fake as 5250. The second psych conveniently released the patient on the second day of the 5250 because they realized that the first psych made a huge mistake. The patients rights were violated and they will pay the price. Malpractice and coercion!
