Don't bother coming here. They make you wait 30+ to see a doctor and then and additioanl 30+min to get vaccines. They charge a lot for a 10min visit with a doctor plus 1 hour wait. They used to be good when it was Community Pediatrics. Ever since getting acquired by Coastal Kids it's been horrible service.

Coastal Kids bought our former pediatric office, Community Pediatrics. I miss Community Pediatrics! During our first visit, I made an appointment with a doctor, but we were seen by a physician's assistant. She was fine, but why wasn't I asked if I was okay with my son seeing a PA? We didn't get a discount for seeing a PA. When I called to get an appointment for my child for a med check and a concussion clearance (concussion happened 14 days prior), I was told we needed two separate appointments. Seriously? A Cautionary Note for Parents I took my daughter for her annual physical at Coastal Kids in Thousand Oaks, and the visit itself went smoothly. However, the issues began after the appointment. We were supposed to receive a prescription sent to our preferred pharmacy for my daughter, but it never arrived. There was a complete lack of communication between the staff at Coastal Kids and us. I never love leaving low reviews but the facts are the facts. I use to come here back in the day. The office was a buzz with different colors and toys. There were books as well as suckers and stickers. It was a very cheering place for a child. That was a point of a cheery place that way kids have less fear of pain or unpleasant times. I'm EXTREMELY disappointed in the billing department. I have been a client for over 20 years and I've paid my bills. Now I get a letter in the mail saying that they have sent me several statements and that I've ignored which is very untrue. Why don't you make a call to collect!!!!! Very disappointing customer service.

What a joke this office is. We liked our pediatrician so much that we followed him here to this new group he joined. Unfortunately we rarely saw him. When my child needed a specialist, they referred us to a doctor out of our network. When our 3 year old was being seen for an ear infection, the doctor acted like she was irritated to have to examine her and made a rude comment about our child. Run, not walk, far away... Not because of of the Doctors care with our newborn(we were pleased with all of the Dr.'s we worked with). Avoid because of the office management / billing staff. We experienced a VERY confrontational office manager during our 2 week newborn visit. They try to get money for everything. If your child needs to go to school and need the health history and they charge you $25. They bill the preventive visit for diagnosis to charge you. very bad experience.
