I’ve had a turbulent 2023, And the HR department have been fantastic start to finish have supported me down to me handing my notice in and wishing me well. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend as an employer and as a home for a loved one !

Hi. I’ve been doing care for over 20 years now, in and out different homes. I can proudly say that I have found my home here at Ashmere heanor park. I’ve been with the company for over a year now, yes it does get tough at times but I can assure you that we have the best teamwork possible and I absolutely adore all of them. If I have any questions or concerns I can certainly reach out to my manager Natalie for a chat. She listens and is very helpful. I’m currently off work due to covid but I cannot wait to get back and see al... read more

Have worked in adult care for a number of years, and for the last 2 years for Ashmere, I can honestly say it is one of the best company I work for , I started as a care assistant, but have now progressed to be coming a senior, I have so much support from Emily ( manager) , and the knowledge that I can contact the head office team if I need them,

I joined Ashmere Derbyshire 7 months ago after being my husbands Grandads full time carer during the pandemic. Having been completely new to care it was obviously quite daunting to start with but I quickly realised I had nothing to worry about! I started off shadowing with a colleague named Steve who has worked with the company for many years at Heanor Park. I can proudly say he’s taught me everything I know & I affectionately class him as ‘my work dad’. He has given me the confidence and knowledge to push myself to want ... read more

I've worked for Ashmere since 2018. It was very tough through covid, very emotional at times, but we all pulled together. I started as a domestic, which I enjoyed. Then a new role came available for an activities coordinator which I really fancied doing. I applied for the role and got it and I am really enjoying it. My Dad is in Valley Lodge and he loves it. he tells me the food is lovely all home made, he feels safe and happy there. He enjoys joining in the activities. He likes and gets on well with all the staff members.
