Tim Higgins at Countour Mortgage got us the pre-approval letter we needed to start looking at houses. Once our offer was accepted, Tim made sure that we had all our ducks in a row in order to get the final loan approval. Even after running into a few issues, Tim kept at it, offered ideas, reviewed all documents and ensured that we closed escrow timely. I definitely learned a lot working with Tim. When I was looking to get pre approved my wife and I walked into a bunch of banks to get pre approved and all of them shot us down because of my credit. I thought since we both had banking accounts with some of these banks and had a good amount in them they would be able to help. Not the case, they wouldn’t even give me any direction on what to do telling us to come back when my credit is better or come back in 6 months.
