It has taken me 5 years to address my REAL experience with Cordel & Cordel. My first review i felt pressured by the firm to provide because after the case, their account department wanted the final payment and the marketing department wanted the reviews...After my own personal experience and reading several reviews , this law firm appears to prioritize their own financial interests over their client's well-being. Aside from marrying my ex wife, hiring Cordell and Cordell is a close 2nd in terms of BIG mistakes. Not only were the charges over the top, but the communication between my self and my attorney was never productive. A lot of "Well, what do you think we should do" or "I am not sure about that" type of back and forth. The San Diego office is a quick way to go bankrupt. A divorce with no assets and one minor child and it took over two years. Main attorney went in maternity leave but don't worry they will give you two in her place and charge you to give all the information to them. Don't even try to get on the phone with billing to get answers. You won't miss a payment because they will take whatever amount they feel like out of your account. would never recommend
This company is money hungry do not trust any of them! I spent over $15,000 in a divorce case that they were supposed to help out in but only made it worse! They do things behind your back and then tell you later that you didn't comply. While in litigation with them, I lost my rights as a mom, got my drivers license, suspended, and I'm now getting ready to be thrown in jail, because of the lack and attention, that CORDELL and CORDELL and their attorneys failed to provide to me And my children . I hired these guys. Sat there for 2 1 hour conversations. The lawyer took no notes. Said he had it it was easy. Did nothing, didn't even show up for the hearing with the judge. They sent someone who called me and told me it didn't look good and that I was being vindictive about getting my 50 years of life out of a house I bought with my va loan. That my kids and i lived in. I dont think I could have had a worse experience. I would give zero stars is it was possible. I went in asking for aggressive representation and got absolutely nothing aside from over $2000 in billing. My attorney never filed a single piece of paperwork and only provided me two documents during the time he "represented" me. One was a blurry fax containing the complaint my wife's attorney had filed. I give them a negative rating. Worthless law office. Do not use them. Liars, doesn't return calls, doesn't care about their client, takes your money and gives you nothing.

I am the full time father of three going through a divorce. We moved to Oregon from Idaho. Idaho ruled that Oregon had jurisdiction for the divorce. My ex appealed that decision and I retained this firm. They were very hard to keep in contact with and i seemed to have to suggest things to file and how to fight the appeal so that they knew what direction to take.
