Just a magic place with wonderful walks and snd river cruise. It so perfectly blended into its environs. Respect for the beautiful location.
beautiful serene location Heater was hard to adjust and too hot to be on and it would be good to have a standard electric kettle - but otherwise everything else about the accomodation was fine NA

Peace, joy and relaxation in an amazing part of Tassie. Absolutely nothing… it was perfect! Perfect for three nights in The Retreat. A lovely 2 bedroom cabin in a great location. The village is spot on, with personable and accommodating staff. Make sure you join Happy Hour and you will meet the staff and other guests to chat about your experiences. Best of all… no mobile coverage (unless you climb the ‘30 min🤣’ Telegraph pole walk.

We will be back!!! Nothing. All was amazing. Everything! The most amazing place we have stayed. Kirsty was incredible. Welcoming and helpful. Thanks to Matt also as we enjoyed our cruise on Sweetwater.
Wonderful wilderness stay Took a bit of getting used to having nothing of what we generally are used too but that’s the reason we went Or was nice to spend time in a totally remote place , no technology and no plug in appliances , did the Permian River cruise was really good
Was a relaxing stay where we enjoyed the beautiful forest and river. Happy with everything. Wish we could have stayed longer. Loved the location - it was so quiet and such a beautiful setting. The staff were so friendly and the restaurant provided excellent meals.
Secluded gem Only downside was our meals at the pub weren’t that great. We loved our stay in the cottage. Modern and furnished nicely, bathroom a little older but it was fine. Extra blankets which were good to get cozy in front of the heater. Milk, tea & coffee provided.
