A relaxing stay in the wilderness, a total switching off from the world Accommodation nestled in the lush bush of Western Tasmania and the picture perfect Pieman River on your doorstep. Staff are friendly and welcoming, and the accommodation was warm, clean and comfortable.

Awesome place to stay Would be awesome if the bar/hotel was open for simple dinners during the winter months but understand that is probably not viable. Heading into the warm hotel at the end of each day was a great way to top off the day, and we would have loved to have been able to stay in there for a couple of hours and enjoy a meal as well after the wintery days. I should add we were well informed and aware that cooked meals would not be available, so no problem at all there - communication was great. Area is spectacular... read more

Highly recommendable to anyone looking for a unique experience in Tassie. The gas heating in the cabin has a high and low control. The high is in fact “ super high” and the low is “high”. There is no “low”. Hence every hour or so during the night I had to switch it off to prevent the room from becoming suffocating. The location is unique and provides both hiking and river riding experiences
