Wilderness treat Lovely, quaint cottage to stay in. The staff were friendly and helpful. The Tannin restaurant attached served fabulous food. They offer two river cruises with great commentary, also walking tracks, or just relax on the deck/porch with a drink…..
Quiet, beautiful and remote as expected. The location so close to the river was great. Good walks and kayaking.
It was good experience and would stay there again The restaurant/Pub meal was good although they had run out of vegetables at 6.30. We have stayed there before and knew what to expect. It is what it is a wilderness cabin with no TV and no Internet coverage but was comfortable.
Great little property in the north west wilderness of Tasmania servicing the Piemen river cruise. More reachable PowerPoint in the kitchen would have been handy, together with a toaster for self catering breakfast. Perfect accomodation for isolated “wilderness” environment.

A wonderful escape We found that communication around meal service was a bit patchy. Having self-catered for breakfast, we arrived to discover that breakfast was actually available. Not a criticism, and it didn’t take away from our wonderful experience- I imagine that other visitors, in particular those from interstate and overseas, would find this helpful and much less hassle than stocking up along the way.
Love the West Coast of Tassie. No improvement necessary. Location is beautiful. Right in the West Tas Myrtle/Huon Pine wilderness and on the Pieman River. Love the Fatman Barge. Be prepared for wilderness roads and drive to conditions. Evening meal choices very good. Because of location do not be surprised by prices. Fantastic part of Tas. Will visit again.
