In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. RecommendedThe food was great the service was slow but good enough! The hostess not so much! We asked for a booth was told it would be a 20 minute wait, no problem, we give name and phone number and waited for a text. We got the text our table was ready to go in and be sat at a tiny table I asked the hostess about the booth I requested (I clearly see 3 open booths) and she proceeds to tell me they are reserved for bigger parties.
