Hotel was great, perfect location for our needs and service was friendly. One tiny quibble: I was twice woken up at 6 a.m. by the alarm clock in the room (once my room, the other the room next door which was unoccupied), an alarm that I had not set. It's a small thing, but when you're working 17 hour days, it's not pleasant. Perhaps housekeeping should check to make sure that any alarms set by guests are turned off when new guests check in.
Our stay was good overall. Good size bedrooms, beds are comfy, staff is friendly and helpful, location is great, very walkable to main attractions and close to public transportation. The disappointing part was the lack of amenities (like coffee or water, blow dryer, iron) and the cleanliness of the room, we even found personal items from previous guests like deodorant and a sharpener.
The front desk staff were helpful - very good. The system was down when I arrived. They took my bags allowing me to walk to Reading Terminal Market and pick up. I had to have my room changed because when I pulled the sheets back they were barrettes on the mattress, so it made me think they hadn’t change the sheets. Fantastic in a perfect location Really enjoyed the location and friendliness of all staff. Had a great time speaking with reception and the bartender. Clean rooms and facility. Wish they offered toiletries like some other hotels (Advil, chapstick, toothpaste) so you don’t have to walk and find a store in an unknown city. Great staff very friendly, down to earth and funny. I don’t believe I could stay anywhere else in Philly
The staff is great. They do not service the room each day even while you are out. You will have to ask for towels each day and leave the trash out for them to take. Also depending on where the room is the shades do a terrible job of blockout the sun. Also depending on location you will hear the church service taking place in the park on Sunday morning at 9:30 and again at 11am.
