Still my favorite place to get pancakes and a breakfast that won’t break the bank but I started noticing quality of food going down hill. Peach cobbler tasted like a can of peaches with this extremely hard crust. No flavor whatsoever. The mamma’s breakfast was supposed to come with two scrambled eggs but what was sent looked like scrapings off another plate. I was a little disappointed in this Cracker Barrel location sadly. Went in on a Sunday evening around 5:30pm, not too busy for tables, but after ordering with our waitress, food took about 50 minutes to come to our table. Waitress was very attentive and apologized for the backed up kitchen. Once the food did come out, everything was correct; just a tad too long of a wait for a Cracker Barrel establishment.
My 9 year old Granddaughter loves Cracker Barrel, and she always orders chicken and dumplings, fried apples, and fries. I tried a new dish that had grilled shrimp in it, and it was absolutely delicious! Every item I have ever chosen has been delicious.....never disappointed. Our waitress did not ask if we wanted drink refills, and she did not ask if we needed anything and if our meals were fine. I had to flag her down twice myself. This is one of my favorite Cracker Barrel restaurants, not sure why. Likely because each experience has been pleasant, I've never encountered a wait and service is pretty quick. Hands down I'm a total pancake fan, plain or blueberry. Be sure to get the blueberry syrup!!! Anywho the all day breakfast is a fan favorite!
We ordered three dinners. A fried chicken dinner, fried catfish, and a grilled catfish. The main proteins were cooked and seasoned well but our sides were not. The dumplings were terrible. They had lumps of dry, uncooked flour throughout. They were very, very dry. While we were waiting for our order, we were told our food was ready and boxed but they were holding it until they had corn muffins but we did not want the fried food sitting, so we took the biscuits they had already packaged up instead.
