Country Fried Shrimp The shrimp was like rubber and salty. I got French fries in lieu. of broccoli casserole.Smoky Southern Grilled Chicken The Mac and cheese had no flavor and the mashed potatoes were pasty. Meatloaf Sliders Mashed potatoes were pasty Cinnamon Roll Pie Slice the pie was hard.
Food was all cooked terribly. Absolutely a waste of the money and the time. Avoid this restaurant
So, the Southern Fried Chicken tasted like it had been fried in advance. It's a shame because it's really good when semi fresh. Also, this might just be me, but the hash brown casserole hasn't tasted the same since they've sold the loaded version.
These are the potatoes after a 20 minute response time. Hard, in a mound. I was raised on southern cooking and 2 hours later you couldve scooped the potatoes like they were fresh.
I knew the green beans were bad as soon as I looked at them. Dull, mushy, barely more than a paste after apparently days of overcooking. I threw them out immediately. The carrots were a bit better, at least holding solid form. The biscuits were hard, not fresh at all. And they only gave a small cup of mashed potatoes instead of serving it in the divided plate like they usually do. The Chicken Fried Chicken was decent, at least. They should market their vegetable soup as vegetable broth after 4 pm. The veggies were virtually nonexistent. The fries were essentially devoid of flavor. No verdict on the chicken pot pie since it hasn't been tried. What is happening to you Cracker Barrel? It's as if you're fading away. :-(
It seems the quantity and quality of the food is measurably on the decline. While it was never a 5 Star restaurant, or intended to be, the food use to have a more homemade appeal. The smaller portions now taste rather pedestrian.
Dumplings were non existent. it was all stock and water.
Suppose to be a large Orange Juice (Large) and I got a small and it was warm food was not good
