Great portion sizes
Turnip Greens with country ham were the tastiest item we ordered. The slaw was crisp and the cornbread was as well. The meatloaf had that homemade flavor we all love and the potatoes were just right. The chicken pot pie tasted homemade as it should and the crust and gravy were scrumptious!
The chicken breasts are deep-fried and crispy and still succulent and juicy. The green beans are done the old-fashioned way you cannot get anywhere else these days. The cornbread is perfect, not sweet at all, and the broccoli is steamed and crisp. Perfection! The loaded mashed potatoes are unbelievable. Our meals were still red-hot when they arrived.
Great fast service for the cost
It was just ok. The Sunday Homestyle Chicken was tasty and the bbq sauce was on point. But the mashed potatoes with brown gravy were rock hard and cold. I don't ever think I've seen mashed potatoes be that hard before. The corn tasted like it came straight out a can with nothing added. And I ordered cholula but got tabasco instead. Hot sauce eaters can tell the difference. All in all, it was just ok. Maybe it'd be better with different sides and the right condiments.
Loved the Mac & Cheese side, and Biscuit Beignets, but the Country Ham and mashed potato side wasn't that great. I ended up not actually finishing the country ham after a couple bites, the flavor just tasted off.
great food for the price! call to request barbecue sauce as they don't have the bacon wrapped chicken anymore, at least I couldn't find it.
Hash brown casserole was dry and burnt. I never got whipped cream with pancakes like it's supposed to
Love love love! Always fulfills expectations and never leaves out syrup or butter. Everything's just as ordered. One of our favorite takeouts.
