Cold and nasty. Corn muffins crunchy.
This could be an absolutely fantastic dish of Southern Style Dumplings and Chicken if it was not always loaded with too much salt. This should be Grandma's comfort food and easy on the body. Anyone can add salt after it is cooked. You cannot take the salt out of the dish!
I ordered the Vegetable Soup as the last one I had was delightful. This one was bland an little variety in the kinds of vegetables used. The fresh fruit was paced under the hot soup and spoiled before I could eat it. There was no tableware included. Fortunately I had some from a different restaurant that never forgets to pack it. I have not eaten the chicken salad yet, I am saving that for a different meal.
I am staying in a motel and was not given utensils to eat a salad. I ordered dipping sauce to dip my chicken in and I had a salad. I was given one tiny side of sauce for both. I am very disappointed. The Hand-Breaded Fried Chicken Tenders were overcooked and food was cold.
I got a 1/2 a cup of soap called hot chocolate which was nothing but dirty water the steak was overcooked it sucked
I love Cracker Barrel but they don't care about to go orders. I pay hard earned money and look foward to eating and go pick it up only to be so disapointed . This order steak so over cooked it's uneatable. So tough it's like leather. No gravy on steak tips and just barely a tiny bit in mashed potatoes. Chicken strip and shrimp so overcooked too dried out and just a total waste of time and money and food. Barely a bit of cocktail sauce for shrimp . they cooked eggs more than I had I asked. the chicken fried steak was very hard in some places and really chewy in others. the gravy had no taste and the biscuits they served with were horrible as well. also got a iced coffee that tasted horrible as well.
Missing corn bread, mash potatoes are dry and an odd color. Steak no where close to crunchy(parts without gravy). Super sad.
