We traveled all weekend, we went to many restaurants, 5 stars, and places like this cracker barrel. Our 5 lb chihuahua was with us. We had zero issues everywhere until here. We don't walk in like, "we have an adorable dog with us." we are very low-key, and so is our dog. (See pics) After we ordered the manager, I was not sure of her name. I thought you could never go wrong with Cracker Barrel’s breakfast. I was wrong. I heard rumors about the decline in Quality Control & food quality: Sadly rumors are true ; at least at the Macon Ga. Riverside location! I Ordered: Eggs over medium, sliced tomatoes & hashbrown casserole . My Husband ordered: Mamas breakfast. All his food came out COLD. I know that chain restaurants can vary quite a bit from location to location, but this place has always been consistent in quality and service. The people are always super nice with that true Southern hospitality. Our most recent visit was by accident when another local pancake chain decided not to take notice of us within a reasonable amount of time. But the cracker barrel folks made up for that! Thanks, we appreciate it!
I use the Riverside Dr location for catering lunches all the time! The meals are always hot, packaged well and ready when I need them! Not to mention how yummy the food is! The staff is so helpful and at this point knows me by name! Check them out for your catering needs!
You can never go wrong with good ole Cracker Barrel. I only have one issue—they removed their turkey meat options and now only offer spicy chicken (hot) or Beyond Meat patties. However, they charge an additional $5 for the Beyond Meat option, which they should make clear upfront to avoid any surprises.
