I thought you could never go wrong with Cracker Barrel’s breakfast. I was wrong. I heard rumors about the decline in Quality Control & food quality: Sadly rumors are true ; at least at the Macon Ga. Riverside location! I Ordered: Eggs over medium, sliced tomatoes & hashbrown casserole . My Husband ordered: Mamas breakfast. All his food came out COLD. We traveled all weekend, we went to many restaurants, 5 stars, and places like this cracker barrel. Our 5 lb chihuahua was with us. We had zero issues everywhere until here. We don't walk in like, "we have an adorable dog with us." we are very low-key, and so is our dog. (See pics) After we ordered the manager, I was not sure of her name. We were extremely pleased with the service we received from Jared. Jared was very knowledgeable about Cracker Barrel, and you would have thought he had been there years but only two weeks! With his manager, a young lady named Jay you could understand as she was on top of making the Riverside location top notch as it once was! She made sure we were satisfied with the service and food. We hope she can continue to do great things with her ideas at Cracker Barrel.
I know that chain restaurants can vary quite a bit from location to location, but this place has always been consistent in quality and service. The people are always super nice with that true Southern hospitality. Our most recent visit was by accident when another local pancake chain decided not to take notice of us within a reasonable amount of time. But the cracker barrel folks made up for that! Thanks, we appreciate it!
