Chicken and dumplings was mostly dry, not very appetizing
Liked my order but 5.00 for a small cobbler was almost worth it.
So this is a hard one... The dumplings were delicious and hot, however the Dumplins I ordered was a family size, but this wasn't a family size at all. Maybe feed two people if they like soup? There was a ton of juice and literally one tiny pice of chicken in the entire family size meal? The cost of this was not worth the value of the portion/ratio size. Cracker Barrel is consistently good, they can be relied upon to always deliver comfort food that hits the spot. Giving 5 stars despite the fact they forgot the gravy in my order lol
the roast beef was tender and juicy. you just needed to add a little more.
The entrees were good. We had the trout and meatloaf. Including lemons for the trout was nice. But the dessert was quite small portions. The cake slice was maybe half of the previous time we ordered. The ice cream scoop for the cake was so tiny, less than a kids scoop at Baskin Robbins.
Meatloaf lunch was pretty good
barrel cheeseburger was a hit with my grandson and he's picky
Everything was very good and well packed. I feel like they've gotten better at packing slightly watery sides separately.
