Always love whatever I order from this place. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The turnip greens and pinto beans are the my favorite side dishes. The portions and freshness always meets my expectations as well.
The green beans they gave me were just simply poured out of a can. They just warmed them up. There were no onions, no butter & no salt & pepper added at all. They also ran out of rice for the **MONDAY ONLY** Chicken & Rice but they called me to substitute the rice for something else. I was really looking forward to being able to get the **MONDAY ONLY** Chicken & Rice but I understood. The food was good, except for the green beans.
The meat loaf and Mac &cheese were very good. However the mashed potatoes even with gravy were sooo dry and tasteless. This was the first time I've ever had bad mashed potatoes. And the corn muffin? Well...let's just not go there.
Clumpy food, macand cheese had no flavor
Campfire Chicken.This meal was piping hot when it was delivered.That was good. When I opened the foil, the whole meal was drowning in greens broth, which was not suppose to be included with this meal. There was a few greens found under the chicken. The carrots were over cooked, but I would reorder.
It was good but the portion was little only 6 shrimps and a half portion of sausage 6 to 8 little slices. Corn & potatoes was good also
Country Vegetable Plate and Crispy Rockin' Shrimp were delicious and cooked well. The kids plate portion of shrimp offered plenty for leftovers. Fried okra tasted great with nice, crisp batter. Would definitely order again, except I'd leave off the Peach Cobbler. It was just a bowl of canned peaches in thick syrup with 2 dry pieces of cardboard-like crust set on top.
Cracker Barrel is the best restaurant! It is consistently good and I love the two new brisket and chicken dishes. I think they are called campfire brisket and campfire chicken. Both delicious. Their food is always fresh and presented well. I highly recommend Cracker Barrel for the best breakfastand entrées.
