My father prepaid for his entire cremation services except 1 small item. I have the contract. When I contacted to Cremation Society they sent me a contract to sign and pay them for the same services my dad had prepaid for 20 years earlier. Cremation Society tried to pull a fast one on me and profit off my grief. You should all be ashamed of yourselves.
A cousin recently lost a close family member and utilized this facility. After telling the family the remains should be ready within a few days, and they would call - no call. Fast forward to a couple of weeks after no return phone calls - no updates. Finally spoke with someone and the remains were ready - picked up immediately. 100% ruined my 4 year old sons funeral. Completely disrespectful. Worthless. Refused to give me a copy of the bill because I allowed someone else to hand them money. and when I made a statement about my sons ashes, steve went behind my back and talked to someone i explicitly said not to because I wanted to talk to that person myself. Then when I brought it up to Steve. I was ignored. Then was told by the "superviser" I had threatened steve. I did not. And when I asked said supervisor if he had read the emails. NOT a great experience and definitely will NOT recommend. My mother basically did the funeral director's job for her. When it came to the day of the memorial there was no procession to the gravesite, the Pastor was left standing on the sidewalk (CSM was supposed to give him a ride), we were blind-sided when I asked at the gravesite if I would want to place the ashes in the grave, because it's an honor.(I'm a grandchild.) to which I responded, "I'll have to ask my Mom." Worst experience ever.... our family and friends showed up at the st paul facility to set up for the memorial at the designated time and no one was there . after calling the office, we were told the person to let us in was supposed to be there.... he showed up 45 min late, 15 minutes before the memorial and didn't apologize for being late, only said he was given the wrong time.
