TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

We have been excited for this location to open up. It was definitely worth the wait. The chicken was excellent the breading was perfectly crunchy. The seasoning is delicious and pairs perfectly with the sauce. The fries are great too, lightly seasoned. Will definitely be back for more!
I've been to a couple other locations before and it was just ok. I was craving some hot chicken and saw this location just opened, so gave it another try. I was pleasantly surprised this time. The chicken was hot, tender, and delicious. Went for the medium this time and it had good flavor with a little bit of heat. Had to check it out because of the hype. Dave's Hot Chicken is known for its Nashville style spiciness. It's more of a dry cayenne pepper type of heat, so if you are used to sweeter kind of spiciness then this is not for you. Overall the chicken had good flavor, but although the meat wasn't dry, it wasn't particularly juicy either. The tenders were of good size though. The meals are quite filling. Worth a try.
Sorry for the late review. But my son and I heard so much about how good Dave’s Hot Chicken was we had many false starts thinking it was open. Then finally my son, wife and I went there right after they open. The place was clean and the service was good. They managed the large line effortlessly. However, the food was just OK. Nothing special like every one said. However it could just be me. I’ll have to give it another try soon.
Had a chance to drop by today to try it out. Even though I’m a lightweight when it comes to hot food the IG posts inspired me. This location in Temecula hasn’t been open long but it appears always busy.
