I think they revised the amount of seasoning or re-trained. Ordered medium and the spice was the right amount of heat and actual amount of the spice itself was appropriate. Didn't overpower the chicken. I'll order hotter next time now.

What was all the hype about?! Seriously! I haven't written a review in years but felt compelled to after my visit to Dave's this afternoon. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't horrible. In fact, it was pretty decent but, it surely didn't live up to the hype. The establishment is clean and staff is friendly. The menu is very limited to tenders and sliders with a couple of side order options. Great. It makes ordering simple and fast. Despite the name, Dave's Hot Chicken can be ordered completely mild. It can also be ordered very hot, or anywhere in between. The interior is quirky and comical (amusing rubber chicken graphics and neon accents), but is also clean, bright, and inviting. The menu is VERY small, consisting of "two tenders with fries", "two sliders with fries", or "One tender and one slider with fries". This place was poppin! Hence why I had to eat in my car- so popular there wasn't a table open! But these guys do it right. I've been a handful of times this spring and their slider is consistent. I love the size of chicken you get in between the buttery soft buns. I've never gone lower than the "hot" level of spicy (because why would you at Dave's HOT chicken???) because I think it's the perfect amount of heat. The food was very good. I ordered hot for my slider and, yes, it was hot! I would not take the temperature next level, though. I like that their menu is simple. Had a little snafu with the order but the head guy expediting caught it and made it right. There were quite a few workers in the back. Looked like they all had food handler gloves on. Excellent service, easy order and pick up process. The chicken is almost always cooked perfectly. One out of 6 times, I had dry, slightly either older or just over cooked strips. But I've been back to have the best chicken sliders ever! The fillets are big the meal is plentiful and the flavors are great. Love the kale slaw as it is not over flavored with vinegar and sugar. It have a subtle, lite, creamy dressing and pairs well with the chicken. I crave this place on the reg!

The food was great! Love the specialty sauce. The the gentleman at the register was amazing. His name was either Abdul or Bassier. He was patient, gave us great recommendations and was overall wonderful. Please recognize this young man for his amazing customer service!

Needless to say, the food we received was...excellent. Savory, juicy, chicken. We got mild and medium and I will say I can probably go another level up. Medium taste like hot chicken covered in some extra black pepper. That's not to say, we were missing bits and pieces of our order and my son's good was missing all together. The slider meal was good!
