TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

New to this area, saw this place and decided to give it a chance. I am a super weinie when it comes to spicy foods, so I got the light mild and mild. I got the 1 tender 1 slider combo. I usually get the sniffles eating hot Cheetos just to give you a comparison and I did not get that way eating the mild. Flavor was there, pretty well seasoned, and nice and juicy. This place was surprisingly good. Chicken sliders were full of flavor not dry. Great spices! I'd go back here in a heartbeat. Small menu but portions are large and priced right. Wish there was an option to not have fries. Sometimes I'm not in the mood for them.
My friends and I ordered one tender and a slider for dinner, with Mac and cheese, cheese fries, and coleslaw as the sides. I selected medium spice level, as some of the reviews I read stated that it was more on the spicy side. I'd say I wouldn't have known it was even supposed to be spicy if someone ordered it for me. I have been in Beaverton for 3 weeks and I have ordered from here 4x. I usually only get the medium spice-level. The 2 sliders with fries always ends up being the amount of 2 meals for myself. It is a HUGE piece of chicken. I also like that the bun isn't enormous. I feel that takes away the actual flavor of the chicken. I love how they have packets of their signature sauce. I have never dined in, but the pick-up service is always 200% on point.

I discovered this place on Yelp. The photos of the food tempted me to try it and I love fried chicken so why not? I went in with low expectations because while the food in the photos looked colorful and vibrant the chicken looked like it could be dry and honestly I didn't think they'd beat Chick Fil A's Spicy Chicken Sandwich. Food Price Service I've been dying to try Dave's Hot Chicken ever since I saw a Try Guys video where they had Dave's. The food did not disappoint! I ordered the 2 Slider w/ Fries meal for myself and my sister. The portion was HUGE. Maybe I'm just a petite person, but one slider was as big as a regular sized burger at your typical fast food chain (e.g. McDonald's, In N Out, Chik Fil A). I usually try to avoid fried food since it's obvious not good for your health so when it comes to fried chicken, I'm very picky about where I choose to eat. Dave's definitely deserves to be top 3 fried chicken places I would go for when I'm in the mood. The location could not be any more convenient, right next to Shake Shack. I've always wanted to eat here looking at the fancy signs. Finally got a chance today, and ordered the slider and tender combo at medium spice level for takeout. It was pretty decent and definitely better than BWW and came with fries, will repeat. I'd rate it around 4.5! If you are in the area, give it a shot!
