TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

First, I'd like to say to people that say it's hot. The name of the place is Dave's hot chicken so if you can't take the heat eat elsewhere, just kidding just get the mild or no spice! I enjoyed my food. Everything had good flavor the fries with seasoned well I accidentally ordered a medium slider and hot tender which I loved. Got the #1. Place was packed at 11am. Food came out hot, quick and accurate. Chicken was cooked to perfection, juicy inside and perfect crunch on the coating. The hot flavor was delicious and just the right amount of heat. Highly recommend. This was my first time trying it and I'll be back! Oh, and the ice in the drink machine is similar to chik-fil-a! Nice little bonus haha
Food: very juicy chicken and medium heat was just right. Will venture to try the hot next time. Service: very fast only waited a few minutes. Ambience: family friendly atmosphere. Saw a lot of families during my visit. Would definitely recommend to try and you won't be disappointed. Here's to good eats!

I decided to come back for a second try, sometimes a business can just have an off day. In fact that is what seems to have happened on my first visit. This trip the chicken was done to perfection and the hotness was just right. Presentation was chef quality work! Even the fries were delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful. I still don't like that it's mandatory to select tip or no tip before paying, but I can let that slide.
Son loves the chicken, sauce, fries, pickles and sliders. Eaten fresh is best! Great service and good food.
Sara. Big smile. Very helpful and made me happy that I biggie sized my order with an extra tender and XL drink! It's the delicious chicken tenders that keep me coming back! I don try know Daves' recipe but it belints in the Smithsonian someday soon. I used to love Boston Market but the stores were filthy, This restaurant is squeaky clean and happy workers. Dave's is kicking it while Chipotle is now the worst restaurant experience consistently. I got to find another place to get a burrito bowlChicken Fingers
