TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

I have dined at this Dave's four times since they have opened. The atmosphere is fun, the restaurant is always clean, and the staff is friendly and polite. Honestly, just wonderful people at this location. Very kind and genuine. That is truly remarkable in this job market and economy. Well done in that respect! The food was ok. The thing that turned me off was they charged me $1.99 for an empty cup so I could get some water. That's ridiculous!
20 min wait time with almost no line and empty restaurant for two tenders, and one if the tenders was about 1/8 inch think.
Really disappointed in the food. I was very excited to try this place and decided to eat iI got a slider and tender but the chicken was not warm in either situation. The sauce is okay, but having cold food that is "fresh" is a major turnoff. Would definitely not go back again.
Denied water cup with the explanation there are none available; they were sitting on the counter. Cashiers continued to deny my right to a water cup.
This ambiance in this place felt like a simulation. I couldn't tell if the cashiers were being serious, it felt like a joke. The chicken itself was the best part of the visit. But their bread is just plain white bread, not even toasted or buttered. Nothing special about the fries. They just taste like the fries you would get out of the grocery store freezer section. And the 'Dave's sauce' was mid. Also they don't have ranch because "Dave's sauce is so much better". Also the bathroom was nasty dirty.
DONT BOTHER! let's start with the most dissapointing part of this experience, the food is "meh" at best. There are only three things on the menu. So you basically either want a chicken tender or a chicken between two slices of bread. That's it. Their chicken is dry rub and overcooked not wet rub for some reason. The chicken was overcooked.
