Came by yesterday night since this opened up right around the corner from where I stay. Can't say I was impressed. I ordered a #3 (slider and tender plate) in Medium. It's definitely more of a drier spice rub vs a wet sauce. I found my chicken to be a little dry and not as juicy as they advertise. Dave's recently opened last week, and I definitely expected the line out the door, which it was. However, I was delightfully surprised at how fast the line moved. We were probably in and out in under 20 minutes! Feels like they've worked out many kinks. We ordered the slider and tender combo with extra cheese and an extra side of Mac and cheese and a vanilla milkshake. The food flavors were absolutely amazing . The food is always good, haven't tried everything but I will be back. Service was friendly and it was so busy within the establishment. Always looking for something new and different in Columbia.

It was good! And well priced! But I was waiting for my food for an hour due to a buzzing device not working. The person that took my order really seemed like she didn't want to be their so it was not the best experience but I pushed through because I really wanted to try the food. Maybe it was because it was a Friday afternoon. But the fries were good though

There was a line out the door, but luckily I ordered online in advance. I skirted the line and snagged by bag of food. I was concerned that the line might just all be hype over a new restaurant in a town that is very much lacking in interesting places to eat. I can now report that this place is 100% worth the hype. Did Dave's meet the hype? Or is it just another overhyped restaurant landing in South Carolina? It opened this past Friday and lines were out past the sidewalk. You know, I was always shocked a few years back that Nashville hot chicken or just hot chicken in general wasn't bigger in the Carolinas/Georgia/Florida. This was my first time trying DHC and it was awesome I got the mild slider and tender. I really liked the seasoning on the chicken and the sauce is AMAZING!!! Order extra sauce for the chicken and the fries Even though there was a line out the door, The Service was great with cool graffiti graphics inside the new restaurant. YOU HAVE to TRY OUT this CHICKEN!

Columbia's finally got this awesome hot chicken spot. Dave's hot chicken is a chicken spot that makes tenders and fries. They got a few other menu items, shakes, and whatnot but this place is all about the chicken. Dave's hot chicken has multiple spice levels so you can choice your level of spice. I tried very hot, hot, and medium. Medium is as it sounds and is a great place to start if spicy isn't your main thing. They also have no spice for those that cannot handle any level of spice. Food and atmosphere were amazing! Chicken was the best that I've had in quite awhile. Staff were friendly and helpful. We tried medium and our kids had no heat. I look forward to trying all of them! The chocolate shakes are also a must-try item!
