TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Overall a disappointing experience. The space is incredibly uncomfortable. The music outside was blasting so loud that we couldn't even hear each other. The chairs are very uncomfortable. There is a bar to sit at, but no service at the bar? You have to go back in line to order a drink. The food was fine. No better than the other options around town. The fry sauce was bland and the chicken was fine. But felt overpriced for what it was. The service was...there?
went in yesterday and the meat wasn't even all the way cooked and i did not feel welcomed. Felt like everyone there was unhappy to be there. Definitely not worth the hype. Waste of my money!
Meh. I'm surprised to not be pleased with this place since it always seems busy and hyped up on social media. Tenders are very bland and the mac & cheese is very soupy...and bland. I'd rather support local with music city..plus their food as flavor and is more reasonably priced.
Not my thing. I didn't like the powdery cayenne pepper on the chicken. Only one type of sauce was available and it was just ok for me. The fries were good but coleslaw was bland. Not worth the price in my opinion.
Not very good, yet very expensive for just chicken tenders and fries. Gritty chile powder seasoning sprinkled on the chicken, kind of like spicy sand. I don't get why people are paying so much for this stuff.
Chicken is high priced and dry. To be truthful I would rather do Canes and Hate Chicken.
I was really excited to try this place. After all the online hype, all the videos and wannabe food critics, I couldn't wait to try this place... until I walked in on opening day. One sign I've always recognized that the food at a restaurant is not going to be great quality is how fast the food comes out. I ordered a number three meal (one slider, one tender, fries) and it came out in less than five minutes. Honestly, I was glad it came out quick since it was insanely busy and very loud inside, so I wanted to leave as soon ... read more
