the BEST most HEAVENLY experience, my mouth waters while typing this their food is so good my heart explodes when I think of them in all seriousness, I do love their restaurant. I don't know if it's considered a restaurant but it is amazing. They're spice levels are perfectly balanced 10 out of 10 will be returning

Now that we have a Dave's in Louisville, I have been back many times and I just adore this place. Service is hectic but friendly-those employees are working their behind's off! My go to order: One Dave's extra hot mozzarella stick, one hot slider, ranch, plenty of Dave's sauce, and a large drink to wash all of that heat down. I don't know how Dave's does it but the chicken manages to be crispy and moist at the same time, even when put in the air fryer later. This was our first opportunity to try Dave's Hot Chicken. We ordered the box so we could try some different items, and also one tender and a side of fries. We opted for water and the water cups are very small, so if you like your chicken hot then you might want to order a larger drink. I am, however, a spice wimp, so we ordered mild. The cheese stick, sliders, and tenders were good. Mild spice was perfect for me. The Dave's bites were okay but I would have preferred another tender instead. I'm not sure what the seasoning consists of but the chicken tenders and very tasty even when getting very hot. The cheese sticks and very good also.

Dave's Hot Chicken in St. Matthews absolutely lives up to the hype! The chicken was perfectly crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. I loved that you can choose your spice level -- the medium had the perfect kick without being overwhelming. The fries were seasoned so well, and the mozz cheese sticks were a great side to split! So happy we finally got one in Louisville! The chicken is great, of course. I appreciate the options they have for the hotness level. Their fries are really yummy too and the Dave's sauce is perfect. The waits are always a bit long but that's to be expected and not a huge deal! Everyone there is nice as well and helpful with navigating the menu.

I tried the Dave's Hot Chicken in Jeffersonville a while back and nearly burned my heart out. Undaunted, I tried this Dave's as I was in the area. Some major differences. At this location, the owner (who also owns the Jeff location). Stops by every table to check on your meal. If he's busy, a staffer comes by to see if you need anything.
