First off (loving the topic of origins), I took a peak at the history of this joint. Having now tried the food a couple times, I can now attest to the quality of the experience that is, Dave's Hot Chicken! Dropped into Dave's today to check it out. Wow, presently surprised! The chicken is nicely dusted, tasty, tender and juicy. Tried the slider and tender combo with cheesy fries, left with a doggy bag, it's a lot of food. You pick your heat level so we tried medium, we'll step it up next visit. I'm a stickler for a clean restauran, and could have eaten off the floors. The service was excellent, and the chicken was dynamite. I will be taking the kids there again next week. Thanks for a great experience! Dave V

Conveniently located. Large chicken tenders. Food was just coming up on window when I walked up and it's already close to room temperature. Pickles are generous and crispy. Go to Double Front instead....

I bussed my own dirty table when I got there. Dine-in order. Poor value and poor presentation. For a $25 meal, I was handed multiple loose boxes in plastic with no tray or bag, sauce I paid extra for, and had to awkwardly carry everything back to my table myself. Meanwhile, other dine-in customers had food that looked much better presented, while mine felt like a to-go order dumped in boxes. The same thing happened with my friend's $12 meal.
