Unless you find your dream dress or are on a tight budget, go elsewhere. Everything was going well until I started placing orders, then disaster! I only recieved one call from them the entire time I used them, almost a year. The purses I ordered for my bridesmaids were not all ordered together so I had to make several trips (Dulles to Springfield) the first time, the ones they had looked like they had been dragged through the dirt. I got my dress from the David's Bridal in Springfield, VA. They had a large selection with reasonably priced dresses, but the store was also very crowded so I don't think they offer enough friendly service. The timeline for alterations was not very flexible, so I had to go elsewhere, but otherwise it's worth checking out if you need a beautiful dress without a huge budget. The location was very convenient as well.
David's Bridal was one of the 1st places I looked at wedding dresses at. Even though I did find my beautiful wedding dress there that my mother in law found for me I wished that I would have looked at other places as well since I found another dress that might have been my dream wedding dress maybe for $200 more. Walking into David's Bridal, I knew I was not going to get the one-on-one service other boutiques are known for. They do have a great selection of dresses at fantastic prices! Definitely bring a friend or two to help you check out dresses and take pictures so you can email your friends for advice. I do NOT recommend using their alterations department -- there are seamstresses out there who do outstanding alteration work for less money!
David's Bridal had a large selection of contemporary styles and was affordably priced. My favorite aspect of DB was the availability of bridesmaids' dresses. Each of my bridesmaids were from different states, and they were each able to easily find their size. I just picked out the color of the bridesmaids' dresses, and each of the bridesmaids picked out the style they were drawn to.
