I love my dress but the service was less than stellar. Good thing I had a friend with me as she helped me more than the sales person. I had to take my dress elsewhere to get altered as they would not do what I wanted.
I should mention that I bought my dress at a David's Bridal in my home state. They had it delivered to where I was living and I was able to have alterations done at a David's Bridal there. The sales person who helped me find my dress was also the person who helped my sister find her dress. She was so great to work with and I couldn't have asked for a better experience.The alterations staff at the David's Bridal near where I live though (Springfield, VA) were a bit brusque and didn't seem to want to listen to what I wanted. I loved the dress that I got from Davids Bridal, especially since I was on a small budget. Most of the staff was very nice to work with, some I had to explain to them on how to do there job. Overall, I loved my wedding dress, it fit perfectly and I was satisfied with my dress shopping experience.
I walked into David's Bridal in November of 2011 thinking I was just there to try on some different styles and get a feel for what I might like. To my surprise, I found my dress that day! Dress #3 was THE dress. It was beautiful, simple and perfect for me. I came back the next day to buy the dress, the shoes, the undergarment and some other accessories. The girls in the front were wonderful, but the girls who work in alterations were not as. I actually wish I would have gotten my alterations somewhere else, but because I bought my dress there, it was more economical to do it there. My dress had a very large bustle because it had both kinds of them (over and under). The top bustle kept coming off and by the end of the night I had a large tear in the underlining of the dress because it wasn't strong enough. I would highly recommend… the dress was absolutely gorgeous and altered perfectly. Couldn’t have been happier… not to mention the great prices at David’s Bridal! Also, when I first bought my dress, I was having a beach wedding… so when our location was moved, the allowed me to exchange my (unaltered) dress for one more fitting for the venue! Great customer service!!
Davids Bridal did not provide me with the best personal service i would have liked to have while looking for my wedding dress.
I was really dissapointed with my experience with David's Bridal. From day one, I felt like a number. When I went with my bridesmaids, the staff was not attentive at ALL. She was clearly working several appointments and it was obvious we were not the important one. Every visit to DB felt this way. The price was right for the dress, but the alterations were a little ridiculous. Either way my dress looked fantastic and I felt absolutely stunning in it. The lady that helped me pick out dresses didn't really help that much, but that could be because I already knew what I wanted when I went in to shop.
