I found a gorgeous wedding gown that was being discontinued for only $300. The alterations however left something to be desired -- I had to have them redone because they sewed the pink bracups in right under the lace and you could see the cups through the fabric. Even after it was redone I still didnt think it looked all that professional but it worked. If you had your own seamstress its worth it for the prices though. We found a cute flower girl dress that was perfect for my niece here too.
I enjoyed Davids Bridal but did not enjoy the way the helper treated me and my wedding party. If I have a friend who goes there I would not recommend the lady
I got very little help from the staff. It's very cold when you walk in (I don't mean temperature). If you don't have an appointment, they look down their noses at you. If you do have one, they still treat you poorly. The manager wasn't any better. Terribly rude. I had a coupon of some sorts and the manager argued with me about it and finally "gave in" with a sigh and with rolled eyes. The alteration costs were astronomical. I purchased a two veils and a dress from David's. At a fitting for my dress, my veil was pinned onto a hanger by David's employees so that I could take both out for my photograph some weeks later. When I got to the photographer's my bridesmaid and an additional friend and I all noticed a tear in the veil. I notified David's as soon as possible, but they said they would not do anything with it. I was shocked at how professional david's bridal was. Although my second appointment ran about 15 minutes late (i was going in to double check that the dress i loved was still it a few days later) my initial appointment was amazing. I tried on dresses in almost every style first then narrowed down the basic style I wanted and didn't have to do anything but wait for them to bring me more dresses to try on. I went back to David's because their selection was fantastic. Most dress stores don't have a wide variety of sizes, so if you're not a size 6, it's hard to see what a dress will REALLY look like. But at David's, they had hundreds of dresses in all sizes.I worked with Jennifer W., and she was really helpful in pointing out things that were good/bad about a dress on me, etc. She played off what dresses I chose, and brought me new ones when needed.I also got my crinoline and veil from there. Salespeople very helpful. However, selection of dresses not very good, and price a little too high for the quality of dresses sold.
I loved David's for my wedding dress. It was on sale, and absolutely beautiful and amazing for the price we paid. My only complaint was that when I bought the dress they told me to call back a month before the wedding to get my alterations done, but when I called back a month before, the seamstress yelled at me and told me she wouldn't be able to do it in that time, and that I was supposed to call at least six weeks early. I wasn't concerned too much about the wedding dress. Finally went shopping 3.5 months before wedding. Received dress in enough time for the wedding and alterations were made to the hem. The hem job was not that great. I had to point out something that HAD to be fixed when i went to try it on. On top of that, the hem looked a little crooked...but like it said, I didn't care that much.Bridesmaids' dresses all seemed to work out fine and no problems with alterations that I know of. But, I believe they used other locations.
