Don't waste your time. I've been trying to open an account with this bank for weeks I get the same error message we're unable to assist you at this time try again later. I've tried hundreds of times. Email dozens of times and no one will respond. I can't believe that a bank can survive treating its customers like this. Worse experience I've ever had in my entire life.

Been a customer since early 1973 , they merged and don't care about the regular people any more. Don't open any accounts. Withdraw you funds.
Do NOT use this bank. We had accounts w/ them for years but when we bought a new car they wouldn't transfer our money to the dealerships acct. We had to drive back to BK for a cashiers check. (At this point we were living upstate). When we initially set up the free checking account we had over draft protection. I don't know how to start this review, I just want everybody to know before anybody decide to do business with Dime Bank think it twice. Please avoid this bank at all cost. My bank card got stolen and this stupid establishment told me they couldn't help me. You're better off at another community bank or go the commercial route.
Avoid at all costs! This has been a terrible bank to work with and you have so many other choices! It was a huge effort to be able to withdraw money because of their $5000 daily limit. So I had to schedule transfers of $5000 a day for 10 business days. Then, halfway through that 10 days, they revamped their online platform and in doing so cancelled all remaining transfers I scheduled. So then I had to wait 48 minutes on hold to speak with someone who had no resolution for me except to start the transfers all over again... read more
I walked into you new branch located on Broadway On Friday 04-06-18 I signed my name and waited to be serviced and by the time I was called the representative Milagros Montes asked what did I need today I advised her I wanted to open up an account before I can continue she interrupted me and advised me that the bank closes in 10 Minutes and she wanted to leave on time. Don't. Seriously it is so hard to see your balance if you entered your password wrong online. It asks you for an account number and last statement balance and there are no other options to verify. I got locked out after the verification system failed- it stated I entered my password wrong when I did not even enter anything. I have my money in different online banks, and this one is the hardest to get information about my account. On top of that, customer service is not available 24/7 or on Sundays. this is a scam. it's impossible to get your money out. Maximum withdrawal is $5000 and the quickest you can do it is weekly. This is a sad way to do business.
