Very friendly, gets “ chair side “ manner, explains your vision to you in real terms. Easy to make an appointment, open to all questions and LISTENS.

Each trip to Discover Vision Centers at the independence office in the Cliffs is relaxing, and top notch. I am at ease, listened too, respected, and encouraged during each visit. From the ladies that check me in, techs, doctors and checkout folks I have always met a friendly soul. Even when I needed corneal transplant surgery and then Cataract surgery everything was handled beautifully and I felt calm and reassured. Dr Doane & Dr Parsons are excellent. I couldn’t ask for better treatment. ~Paula

Dr. Pate and his staff are professional, yet very personable. He and his nurses explain each exam, test and finding in layman's terms so you, the patient, can have a basic understanding.
Very thorough and takes time to listen to you and to explain things so you can understand them.
