Dr. Baker did my surgery in 2015 after a semi tire exploded in my face at work. I ended up with a severe tramatic brain injury. This dr. Did a great job on me.
Business response:
Thanks for sharing such positive feedback about Dr. Baker. We feel lucky to have him on our team and will pass on your kind words to him.
You don't have to live with foot drop. After a knee replacement, I was left with no dorsiflexion in the foot of the operated leg. Dr. Baker was recommended by a neurosurgeon at John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore,NJ. Dr.Baker and his amazing staff performed a surgical procedure that reversed my foot drop. I am so grateful for his knowledge, competency, and for giving me my life back.
Dr Baker is an outstanding neurosurgeon, he did a wonderful job on my back surgery and I recommend him as highly as possible. He is very personable and takes time to thoroughly explain the procedure and what has happened and what the prognosis and recovery will be.
Dr. Baker was very caring and concerned about my husband as a whole person and not just a bad back. Following surgery my husband was pain free and not suffering with constant back pain as he had for several years. I can highly recommend Dr. Baker.
Very frustrating experience-2 cervical surgeries(fusion and laminectomy)my phrenic nerve was clipped and now dealing with paralyzed right diaphragm. Have not been able to have follow up because he is not with the hospital anymore-still experiencing right arm weakness which apparently is the risk I took....but phrenic nerve being clipped is not what I signed on for and surgery needed to get my breathing back...
I was very excited to be able to have him see my parent after I looked at all of his rave reviews. He came off as very arrogant. Very short with us when we tried to ask questions. And when we asked him if there were any other treatment options they could do besides the only thing he suggested he basically was done with the appointment and walked out. Very very rude. Will NEVER go back to him or recommend him
My first visit with Dr. Baker he looked at my x-rays looked at me said yes I can do surgery and walked out of the room. The day of surgery I was told I was scheduled for 8 finally at 6:30 he did my surgery against my daughters better judgement. I wish I had listened. He could care less if your in pain and is arrogant. Needless to say screws were coming out pressing on a nerve have very little feeling in my foot and side of my leg which is probably permanant. I had to have a 2nd surgery.
Extremely rushed with appointments, and did not give detail into any surgery options, just wanted to schedule without explaining anything. He was pretty arrogant as well. I tried to ask questions, as did my wife, but all were answered with quick one word answers. I heard from two different friends that they had terrible recovery and failed back fusions. Speed is not a benefit in planned back fusions. It needs to be done correctly.
If you're fat by his definition or smoke or were a smoker go see someone else, because he feels you deserve to suffer. How much he hates Fargo was his bedside manner topic. Why I was referred to him given his hatred of my lifestyle is beyond me. I couldn't believe Sanford took him after I filed a complaint with HHS. Someone who is in Fargo when he hates it with every fiber of his being is here because he isn't good enough to be anywhere else. So I guess I can say Yo dude get better or get out.
