Very courteous and efficient staff, from front of office to PA's Dr. Ahmad obviously takes care in hiring. Dr. Ahmad himself was exceptionally caring and attentive. I could tell the office was always busy but never felt rushed, always felt that he was up to date on my specific issues, where I was in my recovery etc. and he answered all my questions simply and directly.

It was a crowded day in Dr Ahmad’s OR. I had a full thickness tear of both the supraspinatus and the infraspinatus. It wasn’t until I went through around a year of failed rehab that an MRI revealed he failed to repair the infraspinatus which by that point had significant atrophy. Another surgery with a different surgeon and over a year of rehab later it’s clear the shoulder will never be what it should have been.

i had a very unpleasant experience with him. there was also an incredible amount of repetitive red tape and it's like his staff has surrounded him with a force field to insulate him from the real world. that being said, meeting him was not exactly as privilege. I believe he is highly skilled but I also believe that his fame and the fame of many of his patients has given him an incredible ego that supersedes his talent as a surgeon.

My son had ACL meniscus surgery on his left knee, March,12.2024. Since the surgery Dr. Ahmad saw him one time on his recovery process, my son plays division 1 baseball in charleston, south carolina. We set up an appointment 4 weeks in advance because we noticed some complications on his recovery process. My son traveled from charleston, south carolina to see Dr. Ahmad in New jersey, after waiting for more than an hour we get called to see Dr Ahmad we are waiting inside the doctor office around 7 minutes later we get the news... read more

Terrible Experience! I saw him for years with shoulder issues. He gave me too many cortisone shots, which I later found out can cause deterioration in the rotator cuff, in anyone, but especially me who has connective tissue disease, which he was fully aware of. I requested shoulder replacement, which he said was more invasive and convinced me he could repair my issues. He then 'fixed' my torn tendons & reattached them. Initially my left shoulder was somewhat better after some PT, & after 4 months he advised to do my other sh... read more

Dr Ahmad surgically repaired my rotator cuff. He did a good job explaining the surgery and is known to be a good surgeon. I developed stiffness and pain with decreased ROM after completing months of PT. He did one telehealth visit, recommended a treatment plan and then disappeared. No word from his office and they don’t return calls. They will tell you the doctor or his assistant Frank will get back to you but they won’t. After the pain significantly worsened I gave up and went to another surgeon. If you’re not on the NY Yan... read more

I'm sorry but this guy is an arrogant, inept diva - superstar I'm sure, but he still messed up my knee. First of all, if you dare mispronounce his first name - his receptionist will yell at you: "AMAUD, not Ahmed." Then he's sporting his Yankee ring, and tells us his wife wears Mets ring - lots of bragging about his superstar clients, and how eight members of his family went to Columbia, Ivy League. But he still messed me up; a simple procedure failed - months of physical therapy didn't help, and after a while he just said -... read more
