Do you want to be healthy???
Dr. Owens has been my doctor for the last 12 years. I cannot say enough good things about him. He is honest and straightforward and believes in less meds rather than
more. He strives toward healthy and functioning.
If you are looking for a "pill pusher" or a yes man then Dr. Owens is not for you.

Good man, doing a hard job
After reading several of the other post I went in this office today completely terrified. this was my first c and p exam, and reading the other comments I thought my G
od this man must be a monster.......... I found quite the opposite to be true. his staff was very friendly. The doctor himself seemed fairly knowledgeable, and more than willing to help me get my claim processed quickly, and accurately. I would also like to note as a veteran suffering from ptsd he did not force me into having to painfully relive my experiences, in other words he was to the point. and as far as the music in the lobby lol it was more like jazzy blues not some death rock like described in other post. My visit today was a cool breeze compared to dealing with the VA. Pleas excuse any grammar errors I am by no means a blogger but thought someone should say especially to the vets going for a exam he's not the Dr. others make him seem. He is very nice I guess some people have not learned in order to receive respect you must give it! more »

My husband was sent to Dr. Owens for a PTSD comp and pension exam from the VA. We are thankful that Dr. Owens viewed all his previous reports along with his expertise to make his recommendations. We wish nothing but the best for him and his staff. more »

Welcome to the new Dr. Dwight Owens Website,

Thank you for visiting my new website. Here you can find out information about our approach to family and general Psychiatry, and the services we provide. For more information, please feel free to call us and make an appointment.

A Healthy Mind. . . A Healthy Body
As I take a fresh look at my patients, my practice and the changes in the world in general, I now realize that in order to maintain emotional and psychological balance in one's life, three factors must be present;
1. Stamina Development
2. Resilience Training
3. Personal Coaching

These changes maintain clear acceptance of the DSM-V diagnostic criteria and most of the American Psychiatric Association practice guidelines. However, a proactive and evidence-based approach to Psychiatric Illness is now my mantra.

A new day and wonderful fresh look at our world is where we want to carry you!
