I’ve seen a lot of chiropractors and physiotherapists in the past and have had many treatments over the last 6 years, but they didn’t work very well for me. I would get a small improvement that would last only a few hours. Dr. Ken performed a very thorough assessment and he explained very clearly what my problem is. He is treating my TMJ and after 5 sessions I can already feel much improvement. My chronic tension headache is getting better; the tensed muscles in my neck and shoulders are becoming more relaxed. In my opinion ... read more

Only one word can summarize Dr Ken - Amazing! During the course of the last 10 years I have tried several chiropractors with mixed results. Most of them spent 10 minutes or less treating me. Dr Ken on the other hand takes the time needed to address the issues using a combination of traditional adjustment, acupuncture and pressure point treatments. He is never in a hurry to treat me and explains what he is doing as the session progresses. I used to suffer from chronic lower back pain, but since becoming his patient, my back p... read more

Dr. Ken is amazing! I have searched all over Toronto for a good Chiropractor and I finally found him!! He does more than just chiropractic care, he uses pressure point and acupuncture therapy (of which I desperately need) and he doesn't charge extra for it. I have constant spine issues and pinched nerves and I have never recovered faster than when treated by Dr. Ken. I have seen approx. 5 different Chiropractors in the downtown financial district, 7 in the GTA and Dr. Ken is by far the best Chiro I have ever had!

Business response:

It's gratifying to know that my approach, which includes chiropractic adjustments along with additional therapies like pressure points and acupuncture, has provided you with the relief you need. I understand the importance of finding the right chiropractor, especially considering your experiences with 5 downtown Chiropractors and 7 chiro... read more

I am absolutely happy with Dr.Nakamura`s treatment and grateful for the long lasting results. I was diagnosed with disc protrusions about 5 years ago (I was only 20) and the pain was only getting worse. I had some adjustments, massages and painkillers but nothing really helped for longer than a few weeks. I could not walk or stand still for longer than 15 minutes without pain. Ordinary household activities like cleaning were causing lots of discomfort. Dr.Nakamura used acupuncture (i was afraid of that, but it was absolutely... read more

Business response:

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with me, and I'm incredibly happy to hear about the positive impact our treatment has had on your life. Dealing with disc protrusions at such a young age must have been incredibly challenging, and I'm glad that I could help alleviate your pain and discomfort. It's heartening to know that our approach, which included acupuncture, adjustments, and specific exercises, provided you with long-lasting relief and allowed you to return to an active lifestyle.

Dr.Ken is a complete joke . Did minimal , no adjustment , acted unprofessionally with his responses . By far the worst chiro I've been to in toronto . Parking is trash , area is busy, charges me 115 and I kept feeling exact same pains as I walked in with. Complete joke of a doctor.

Business response:

After a severe trauma to your neck, it would be irresponsible to adjust your neck without an X-ray on your initial consultation. As there was no X-ray available at the time, and you didn't want to wait until the next visit to adjust your neck you were not happy. I proceeded to adjust your thoracic spine in two areas and worked on your muscles and ligaments in your neck and extended your time by 15 minutes even though you came in 20 minutes late by moving the patient after you. I have to be professional and sometimes not adju... read more

Chose Dr. Nakamura due to the consistency of the high ratings. He may be knowledgeable but I've sensed hyper-defensiveness and poor communication, which gets in the way of isolating my problems faster. Overall not a very refined experience (ie. feel rushed, feel poorly understood, and leave with the hope that next time I'll explain it better... but in the meantime, there goes another session).

I don't get the positive reviews. Went to him for a simple postural assessment. He did an OK job, laughed/chuckled at how bad my posture was, gave me a form to read and disappeared for 10 minutes while I was in his office. I've had much better experiences with other chiropractors in the downtown area.

Business response:

Sorry to hear about your experience. As you can see by the other reviews here and on other websites I take my treatments seriously. While I disagree with the details of how things went I no doubts that you were not happy. I would be more than happy to do a follow-up visit pro bono as the way to make up how you feel about the situation but also to turn a negative experience into a positive one. Just call and ask to talk to me and I will make sure that happens. Hope that helps the way you feel.

Front line staff is not always friendly nor accurate. Dr Ken is great

Business response:

Thanks for your review. When the direct billing didn't go through, as you your benefits were exhausted you told the staff that you did not want to pay for the visit. The staff member asked you to pay for the visit. Then you left without paying. I think it is fair and reasonable to ask for payment on the day of the visit as it is written on our policy you have signed like everyone else.
