Dr. Larry Schlesinger is the best plastic surgeon on the island! I would recommend him to my friends/family and anyone interested in his field. Him and his staff are so caring and thoughtful. Hello dears, I thought I’d post a little early since I go back to work on Monday. Today is day 13, so almost 2 weeks since my procedure and each day is definitely better than the previous but not a walk in the park. I feel like swelling is going down every day because I can now feel where the scar tissue has formed. Sorry I haven’t updated in a while. Now both implants have flipped on me multiple times. (I flip them back) It appears they have squeezed out from under the muscle as well. They appear to be on top of the muscle now and look more saggy and can see the implant edge on the top when not wearing a bra. Also I noticed while sleeping on my right side (without a bra) that my right implant fell away from the wall of my chest looking as if it were a door opening. It looked really weird and embarrassing. I was involved in a surfing accident on the North Shore that resulted in a large laceration on my face that would impact the way I look for the rest of my life. It's been over a year since I've had my mommy makeover. Today I'm getting a breast revision done on my left breast because the implant fell out of the pocket or something so it's lopsided. You can really see it when I lay down. The right breast is perfectly fine. I had cohesive gel, but my doc is switching out the left implant for soft touch because there are reports of the cohesive gel flipping over. First ignored my wishes on size and went way too large...must like big boobs. Had pain on the left for years and years and no nipple sensation either side. Had replacement this year and discovered the left was put in backwards! He used axillary approach, done in his office. Since exchange I already have sensation on the left and slowly right.
This experience has been unreal and shocking all at the same time! I never imagined anything going wrong! I never thought healing could take this long! I wanted to get my tuberous breast deformity fixed since puberty but never thought I'd actually get it done. Not only were they tuberous which means they weren't fully formed and longer than normal, they were also different sizes. Everyone always told me it's normal that they're different sizes not realizing how extreme it was for me. Left was a C cup and right was an A cup barely. My surgeon had to create pockets under my breasts that I didn't naturally have and am waiting for the implants to fall into place.
Just wanted to update everyone! I can’t believe it’s been 6 months. My right breast settled finally and things are looking great!
