Toxic and unprofessional. They do not communicate, you get in trouble for asking questions or getting confused. Tech issues can get you in trouble. Probably the worst ABA company in California.
Easterseals is a horrible and toxic place to work , the coordinator Vanessa talks down to the employees and doesn't care about their safety. Many complaints to HR about this and nothing being done about the work conditions. Most of the employees are unhappy and talk about finding other jobs due to Vanessa's unprofessional attitude and the lack of support from HR. Vanessa makes working at Easterseals a horrible experience and needs to be fired for her gross comments and accusations she's made about other employees. I have ac... read more
If you want to contribute to an employer who treats their employees poorly go to Easterseals. Besides putting down their employees daily, having them do things off the clock including forcing employees to participate in a week to honor them. Pay is low, no appreciation, constant spying by "Management Team" too funny. The people who go their are not becoming more independent just sitting around or eating. No one wins except the upper management Department heads and the Directors. Real negative and weird environment.
Having supported a close friend throughout their dealings with Easter Seals (ESSC) for their now 8yr old autistic son, I have been party to a number of calls and correspondence dealing with the appalling issues they have had with the company. Issues that not only brought stress and anxiety to the parents, but caused their then 7yr old client to be hospitalized. For a company that is supposed to be experts in human behavior, they seem utterly inept at understanding the needs of the children they are supposed to be supporting... read more
EasterSeals is a middle man between Kaiser and the companies that provide ABA therapy. After a horrendous experience with the company they initially contracted with to provide my autistic 7 year-old son's care, I contacted the woman who had initially done my intake and asked to switch companies. She informed me I needed to talk to her supervisor and said she would text me her number. That text was never sent. Once I finally got the supervisor's number and was able to talk to her, she was completely uninterested in my son and... read more
Not satisfied with the service provide. So if you're a parent that loves our kids search elsewhere. We do everything they ask us to do but the minute we question something that's unethical all they do is want to challenge you. We're just desperate and we need help once we a different company or moving to that hopefully it's covered by insurance. They say it's a team effort.... it's a collaboration...no it's they do not accept parents input. It's so sad when it's a child that would benefit if we work together!! So if anyone ... read more
I can't speak for Easter Seals ABA therapy, but if it's anything like their Speech and OT services then god help these poor children who receive these services. Do yourself a favor and seek help somewhere else. Frankly, speech and OT at the Easter Seals location on Chesapeake (San Diego) is just a mill. There are few options for serious parents and even fewer for their children. Don't get me wrong, the people who work there are friendly, but if you're serious about helping your children, then make sure you find stronger ser... read more
My 4 year old has been with Easter Seals for the last year and it has been a hair-pulling process. Between fights over getting a BI from them, to forcing them to contract out my childs care because the local BI's were full of nonsense. Now, despite being asked at the end of September for his occupational therapy payment confirmation, Easter Seals has still not provided the confirmation. The weak platitude that I got was "well, it takes time." NO, a well run company centered on patient care does NOT take two months to get... read more
My first year at the child development center in Ontario with Easter Seals things went how they should, as time passed I began to notice a lot of things that were occurring within the center. One of the biggest things was the types of "arrangements" certain employees had with the supervisor. We were told we couldn't do certain things due to policy and procedures yet some employees were able to do what they wanted. Another thing that happened a lot was the supervisor was never around, never in the classroom unless their was ... read more
