I spent 12 days here following a very serious car accident. The staff were amazing. Donna and Michelle and Jen were some of my favorite night time nurses and techs and their extra attention they gave me definitely made them stand out from others. Kendal and Mary from the day shift made the mornings bearable and also went above and beyond. Doctor W is incredible, he was very sweet and I actually felt like he listened to me and my concerns and was eager to help make adjustments. this care facility gets more than 5 stars from me. after surgery for a broken femur I was fortunate to be a patient here. The entire staff so cheerful, so helpful and so compassionate. I learned so much about coping with physical limitation being 80. the physical therapists were excellent, occupational therapist excellent. teaching better ways to deal with my aging body. no more multi tasking, be aware of surroundings to avoid tripping and falling. walking heel-toe instead of dragging feet. so much more. the very bes... read more

Mother was here in August 2022 after her stroke. The facility was clean. The nursing staff were caring, competent, and encouraging. The therapists were absolutely tenacious in the best ways. The doctors took time to listen to my concerns. Bathrooms could use an update but still clean and functional. Food is good but cold ...it's obvious they don't use a food warmer when delivering meals. Would definitely go back if we had to.

My mom was here after Brain surgery. I was impressed that I saw people cleaning all the time. The PT, OT, speech therapy people, nurses and techs that helped my mom were so kind and patience with her. We are grateful for all the people that were a part of the team. thank you.

After a stroke my Mom went to Encompass for PT/OT care. The PT and OT and nurse staff were amazing! The care seemed well coordinated and the facility was very well equipped. Everyone was very warm and friendly. Only reason a 4 and not a 5 was the rent-a-Doctors definitely phoned it in. One guy literally had the nurse hold up an iPad with him face timing- the daily "visit" consisted of him saying to my Mom (who has memory issues) "how are you today?" She said "fine". I've had 17 operations and stayed in my share of hospitals and rehab hospitals. BAR NONE, Healthsouth Rehab is the best I've ever stayed in. The medical, nursing, PT, OT, nursing assts., etc. are outstanding. Their pain management is excellent, the food is consistently good. and the PT and OT staff work hard to motivate their patients to move forward with their recovery. I recently had back surgery and was at Health South for 5 days. I do not have the words to describe how great the staff were. It did not matter how important their job was, they were there for me. I had pain, looked after. I needed something, got it and quickly. If you need rehab, this is the place.

Even though health professionals in town recommended Encompass as one of the best rehab hospitals in town, I found it to be quite mediocre indeed. After three days I was ready to literally walk out of the place. The food is absolutely terrible and always served room temperature (who wants room-temp veggies and hamburger?). The cleaning staff did a superficial job (don't ask me about the bathrooms!).
