Like many others, Everbowl had been our go to on the weekends UNTIL they changed their Acai base. It went from a fresh tasting, thick puree, to a sickeningly sweet, syrupy slimy base that is inedible. I felt sick after I'd eat it. Even my 9 year old daughter decided the new base was gross and didn't want them anymore. My wife and I used to love going to Everbowl every Sunday, but it has increasingly become more and more difficult to support. They replaced the original bases with new, premade bases. While a few aren't terrible, the açaí is frankly disgusting. On top of that, they've increased the price of the large bowl by 30%. Those two factors alone were plenty, but the newer employees have a tendency of ridiculously under filling the already more pricey bowls. I guess it's finally time to get a blender and make my own bowls at home.
Great service~ Yummy bowl of goodness~ I ordered the pitaya paradise~ Pitaya, mango, and pineapple. I forget all the toppings I added! I remember blueberries, pineapple, goji berries, hemp seeds, bee pollen, and honey. The bee pollen was really good on it. Great service. I will definitely return!
I rarely react negatively towards a restaurant or place I've eaten, but what the hell happened to their açaí? So disappointed in this new, pre-made base that doesn't taste like açaí at all. Everbowl used to be my go-to for healthy, fresh açaí bowls, and now I won't be returning again. Also disappointed that they got rid of the fixed menu :( Being back the old Everbowl açaí!
The employees at Everbowl in Rancho Penasquitos provide exceptional customer service! Every time we walk in the front door we are greeted with smiles and a positive "can do" attitude! The restaurant is clean and the Açaí Bowls are always made to perfection. Shelby, Janelle & Shay are the BEST in the Biz!
they changed the entire store and the acai tastes gross now. i used to love coming here and spending the 10$ but i got a small and it was 7$ for less than half the size. wtf?? its so gross im so disappointed they changed it. do not get it
As a long-time customer and açaí bowl connoisseur I am thoroughly disappointed as to what Everbowl has become. The new bases that Everbowl 2.0 offer taste like açaí ice cream with a weird texture unlike a normal, fruit base that are blended and made to order. The bases are gross and way too sweet to my liking. It tasted like I was eating ice cream and not a healthy breakfast. I've been going to Everbowl for a long time, and it used to be my go-to place for acai bowls. However, like many of the recent reviews have stated, I cannot get into their new acai base. I have no idea why they changed it! The new acai they use is too sweet, and it leaves me not wanting to finish the bowl past the fruit. Not to mention they also changed the sizes of the cups, so you're paying more for what you would get normally. Such a bummer.
Attention- People who loved their old acai/pitaya bowls: People keep telling me that I can still get their old menu. I did know that, because I had asked them if it is possible to get their old menu. The unhappy male working there said that they can still make it but they're phasing it out. So I ordered the old everbowl menu. I got it. Believe me. It. Is. Not. The. Same.
