No Problems, Convienent I was pleased with this hotel-stayed here twice. The kitchen has plates,bowls,cups,cutlery,mugs,servers,and two pots. Everything was clean. Thermostat worked well, shower was always hot. It's perfect for the price.

Thanksgiving night 2011 homestead inn/fishkill ny The hotel was generally quite satisfactory but when we returned to our room that evening we found that the toilet did not work. We called the desk who informed us that housekeeping was not available at that hour. We were unpacked and settled for the evening when we were advised the only solution was to change rooms. Since this was an inconvenience which could have been avoided if the staff had access to a plunger, we felt that there should have been some sort of compensation ... read more

Excellent Location Stayed for two days and this Hotel is close to everything you would want, rooms do have mini kitchens so if you want you can cook a meal we didn't we preferred to eat out but at least the option is there if you want to!! The hotel doesn't have a pool but you get a pass to the gym right around the corner that has a big pool, Hot tub, steam showers and sauna!! up there street two blocks is a street of restaurants that the food is outstanding!! Homestead Fishkill -- Good value at short money All of the surrounding hotels were much more expensive during the popular leaf peeping season. If you're not looking for a lot of amenities and just need a clean place to sleep, this hotel can't be beat. No breakfast available, but Panera Bread is a short walk across the parking lot (as is Starbucks and Subway). The staff was courteous, and the room was clean and comfortable. We will stay here again in the future.

Quick getaway with dog. Staff wonderful and quite helpful. When we found a defective remote in the room, the front desk lady (sorry, I can't remember her name) came up with 3 others and found us one that worked. Cheerful suggestions for dinner led us to a great place nearby to eat. We went hiking in the mountains along the Hudson, a 5 minute ride from the hotel. We will come back.

Convenience to everything In town for visits to area colleges, we found the Homestead conveniently located just off rte. 9 for easy access. Front desk provided local directions. We were tired and could walk easily to Cracker Barrel for dinner and Panera and didn't have to get into the car after a long auto trip. Room was well-designed with a lot of storage space.
