Hotel The hotel was nice but I booked a king room (which I paid more for) and when I arrived, they didn't have any available. I got a much smaller room with no discount or refund.

Surprisingly nice. I was happy to find such a nice, economical hotel in McAlester. It was a nice experience.

Nothing to really do in McAlester We went to McAlester, OK for family. We couldn't find much to do at all in town other than drive around looking for anything to do. A catalog at the hotel mentioned a museum for the town, but it was no longer open. There is a prison, but that's about it. Candlewood in McAlester, clean and close to stores The Hotel was very clean and staff was very helpful. The new carpet smell was very strong. The air conditioning was hard to regulate and loud. Beds were comfortable and the room and kitchen area were very clean. We would stay there again.

New construction-still smells new! Large clean rooms with full kitchen. Even popcorn in the microwave as a treat! Great value and friendly staff.

Excellent Stay Our check in clerk Sophia was outstanding. Very friendly and helpful. The hotel lobby is immaculate. There is a large Candlewood Cupboard area with snack and meal selections. A free soda for each guest checking in, a nice surprise. Our room was well appointed and very spacious. A king bed and a full sized fridge, cook top, microwave with popcorn, sink and a dishwasher. There were plates, cups and the whole lot available in the room. A great place for extended stays! The hotel is so new it still smells of paint... read more
