Nice hotel, not so great area First off, Best Western has always been my go to for hotels. The Meadows embodies all the things I expect from the chain...it was clean, affordable, and the staff were very kind. However, the area surrounding the hotel was active in a not so great way. There were multiple campsites in the surrounding area and as soon as it was dark it felt very unsafe to be outside. Need improvement We stay in this hotel several times already. The main complain this time is the air conditioner in room is so noisy, it kick in on and off during the whole night and disturbing our sleep. The toilet flush chain was broken, end up I have to put my hand into the tank to reattach the chain for the flush to work. When check in there were some confusion about the payment, and the credit card cannot go through which I used for the whole trip in other stores and restaurants with no problem at all.

Breakfast was not a pleasant one. It was cold and no decaf coffee. Best part of it was yogurt.

No decafe My only complaint was that there was no decafe coffee or tea offered at breakfast and only one decafe coffee pod offered in the room

Very comfortable bed, excellent Wifi, excellent tv channel selection. Liked the proximity to event, would not feel safe walking in area, lacked security presence. Another guests car window broken. No maintenance onsite.

We were there for IndyCar race weekend. The staff let us check in early and park there for the race even after we checked out. The room was clean and nice. The mattress was a little firm for my taste but not bad. Portland is currently having a homeless crisis but they had private security in the parking lot so I felt safe parking a Porsche in the parking lot. I will probably stay there again next race weekend.

Not what i was expecting, a coat of paint does not hide old and damaged. The area was filled with vagrants and drug users, a vehicle was broken into, and the grounds were not very clean. Our room was not super clean and the bed was stiff and all springs, it was not an enjoyably experience. The only saving grace was the breakfast and the staff, especially the young gentleman cooking, that man has drive and devotion to his craft no doubt, havent seen anyone work that hard in a long time. Also the elevator is very scary ha!
