To start off, I was the familiar with area. I wanted a hotel less than 20 miles from Santa Cruz, ca. Online information on expedia stated it was about 16.23 miles. Wrong more like 44. It had a kitchenette, no coffee maker, no cups, no utensils,or pots and pan. We were able to go to front desk and get these things but seem like such a hassle to them. It was a dog friendly hotel. A Reliable and Affordable Place to Stay Attentive staff. Clean hotel. Too much freeway noise, but tolerable. Right price.

Close to freeway I checked in before 3pm, and the room assignment was on the other side of the hotel. I requested a closer room. The bathroom door remained open or closed, but no where in between. The noise from upstairs went on until 4am. I thought it was a service room with all the banging and yelling. The hotel is hidden by trees and takes a map to find. I wasn't impressed, but it wasn't horrible. I arrived two hours before check-in. Since the room was unavailable, I inquired about local wineries. The woman at the desk was unable to provide me with any information. The next morning, I inquired about the ice machines. The woman at the desk said that since there are refrigerators and freezers in each room, they don't have any ice machines. People make there own using the ice trays provided. Good Overnight low Cost Place to Stay Room was clean and quiet. The internet connection kept hanging up and if you want a better connection, you have to pay an upgrade price. Their 'Grab and Go' breakfast left a lot to be desired. In general, it's was okay for us for a low cost overnight personal stay but if I were staying longer, I'd need a place with better free internet and better free breakfast. There was no coffee maker in the room.
