This is one of the best Extended Stay America locations I have seen. The staff here work very hard and it shows. Very well maintained,many of the rooms look almost-new despite the property being 7 years old. Sheets and towels are always clean. Lights , AC/heat, cable TV, and fixtures all work. If there is an issue with something in the room, they will fix it. I used to shy away from the Extended Stay America brand. In years' past in my hometown they have had a negative connotation due to being a long-term stay hotel. Recently, I have noticed a direct and sharp change in their branding, customer service, and the look and feel of their rooms. Avoid at All Costs - A Nightmare Experience!!! This place needs to be shut down!!! I recently stayed at the Extended Stay Hotel in Springfield, VA, and I can confidently say it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. As a military member, I moved here with my wife, three daughters, and our dog, looking for temporary lodging until our house was ready. Unfortunately, this hotel turned out to be a huge mistake. The hotel is overall very dirty. The local patrons do not responsibly take care of the common areas and general use spaces. The halls wreak of spoiled food. And there are several dirty spots and consistent food crumbs. Overall… the hotel seems fairly safe (despite the number of apparent drug deals that happen in the parking lot). It is a budget hotel… I didn’t expect anything fancy. But if I hadn’t pre-paid… I would leave and find a nicer place.
