Apparently what was advertised and sold to me was a promotional rate. This was never discussed with me on the phone nor was I told when the promotion would end. Instead, I just came home to a postcard informing me that my price would go from $68 a month to $136 a month. Due to this omission of information up front, I promptly cancelled my space and took my business elsewhere. So now, I will forever be letting people know that Extra Space Storage just doesn't give you all the facts and lies by omission.

Service has been poor to non existent. There is never anyone at the site. And they raised my storage fee out of the blue. And not just raised-almost double!!! Extra space is ripping their clients off I absolutely do Not recommend. There are many better options with services on site that won't double the rent for no reason. After 3 tries I finally got a live person on the phone and simply asked if they thought this was fair or just. They refused to answer, only to say I had a rate better than I could get as a new person ... read more

I've had my stuff in a storage unit for 4 ish months and my rates doubled from $40 something to over $80 a month for a tiny 5x5 unit. I was at another Extra Space before this and my 5x13 unit only increased after 12 months and only went up $15 and it wasn't much more than what I'm paying with this new rate. Can't wait to get back to Portland and get my stuff out of this facility.

If you park a trailer there, hope there's never any damage to it. Check on your stuff often because they don't do their rounds like they're suppose to. We now have a damaged trailer that we haven't even owned a year and they're no help in assisting in catching the person that did it.

So, we're in the process of clearing out our unit. Our last day is the 18th of this month, and yesterday (the 13th) we got a phone call from someone from the storage unit (we'll call him "arrogant ass"). He stated that we can't just leave our garbage in the unit and it needs to be cleaned up immediately! The sad part is that it's still rented to us for another 5 days! We got a unit here almost a year ago now because it was near our place, reviews were decent and it was the best price in comparison to other places near us. The staff we had interactions with were nice and there were no problems. Within maybe 2 months, we get notice that our monthly fee was going up $10 on one of the smallest units they have. Go somewhere else! Mice had gotten in to the unit and destroyed items. The manager wasn't helpful at all. Was told the renters insurance (that they make you take out) would not pay for it. How can this be right? Expectation is that the contents be safe, secure, AND not mouse infested! Very disappointed.

This is a nice clean facility, but extremely expensive. We were renting an RV site. We only were renting the space a few months when they decide to raise our already high rate by 13%!
