We have been renting the R160 RV parking space since 11/20. Recently we received a letter in the mail stating that our rent was going up to $125. The website advertises 10 x 20 RV parking for $54.00. They are using the bait-and-switch scheme by advertising its storage rates without disclosing that those prices are only promotional or introductory. Two years and never been disrespected since ExtraSpace merge with Life Storage. Someone best forward this to **** for no written response yet from its legal team nor the CEO nor ***. Ive done my best to deal with this matter privately But its seems either this company is a shell company committed Fraud or they just dont care about people situation. We started with a 10x15 unit. The company was bought out by Life Storage. We were sent notice the rates were going up. We were aware how much they were going to go up.$153 to $163.Two months later, it was $********* months later, it is $343.We didn't notice the jump until this month as it is on auto draft.We are in the process of contacting the company, who were just bought out by ExtraStorage.And I and now see that Life Storage is not accredited by the BBB. Shocker.
DO NOT RENT FROM HERE! If I could leave a 0star review I would. They use bait and switch tactics to get you in at a decent rate and then continually raise the rent by huge increases without properly informing the customer. So, I currently have 2 units. 1 for exactly one year and the 2nd one about 6months+. Issue started when I went to my older unit and noticed the roof had caved in. This was over 4months ago. When I brought it to the managers attention, the solution he provided was for me to leave my keys and he'll contract a company to fix the roof. I asked how that is a safe solution considering he'll be giving access to my unit that contains all my personal items to total strangers with no supervision. The online price that you are quoted is only good for 4 months which they do not tell you. The the regular price is then billed and may go even higher after another 4 months which is also not relayed to you unless you ask.
The worst storage facility Ive ever had. Absolutely no customer service, they use promo deals to get you in then raise your rate the very next month and every month after, they want you to fix their errors when they mess up, the staff is beyond rude to people if they are even around, no way to contact any upper management in a situation that needs fixing, their website doesnt let you leave reviews but have a bunch they used from before they switched to ExtraSpace ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE PLACE OF BUSINESS
Massive Price Hikes!Started at $164/month, as web price and just 4 months later after I moved all my belongings from the property I was living. Extra Space Storage hiked my rent to $244a 48% increase!This was not part of the agreement I signed!
Rent doubled after 4 months. I was told by the manager that that was the actual price but I just didn't read the contract well enough. They said they didn't need to tell me that at any point when they were selling me the space. Scam. Now I will have to spend my money and time to remove all my storage because I was deceived by this company.
